How to – Add a Configuration Template for FT/MGS Devices
Configuration Templates allow you to indicate the frequency that the system transmits the location of an asset.
Follow the steps below to add a configuration template for FT/MGS Devices:

Log in to Unity

From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Settings module

Select the Devices tab from the top

From the Devices tab select Configuration Templates

Click the + button

From the list, select the desired Device Type (FT/MGS)
To work with Devices functionality in Unity web, users must have the manage devices permission enabled for their assigned Role. The system will only show the Device Types that you have purchased.

An empty new template form will be displayed on the right-hand side, type in a Template name

From the Device data settings section, specify the desired transmit interval when the asset’s ignition is on

Specify the desired transmit interval when the asset’s ignition is off

Enable curve smoothing which temporarily increases the device report frequency when the vehicle driving direction changes significantly within a short timeframe (for example sharp corners or a steep bend in the road)

Click the Save button
