How to – Mark a Configuration Template as Default
The default Configuration Templates are marked by users and appear with a Star icon. Each device type will always have a default configuration template; this default template will be automatically applied to all new devices.
Follow the steps below to set a configuration template as default:

Log in to Unity

From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Settings module

Select the Devices tab from the top

From the Devices tab select Configuration Templates

From the All templates list locate the desired configuration template name, click the three-dot menu at the end of the desired template row, and select Set as default

From the pop-up message click Set as default

Or from the top-right hand side click the Star icon; from the pop-up click Set as default
