How to – Delete a Group Type
Group Types can be deleted, the default group type is ‘No Type’, if a group type is deleted for any node, the default will automatically be selected.
Follow the steps below to Delete a Group Type:

Log in to Unity

From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Settings module

Select the Groups tab from the top

From the list of Groups, select the desired Group name

Click the Group type field, and click Manage group types

From the list, click the Delete icon for the desired Group type

Click the Close button
Note: To delete Group Types, users require the following permissions to be enabled for their assigned Role: Edit Group Types, Edit Protected Groups and Group Types, Assign Group Types & Manage Groups.
