Fleet managers can categorize assets by type within the platform based on their business needs, with custom icons and colours for clear map visualization. The Asset List can be sorted and filtered by type, making navigation faster and more intuitive.
Follow the steps below to add an asset type:

Log in to Unity

From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Settings module

Click the Assets tab, and select Assets list

From the Assets list select the desired Asset Name

Click within the Asset Type field and select Manage Asset Types
Users can perform the following actions with Asset Types: create, edit, delete, select icon and colour. If no asset type is defined, a default icon and colour combination is used.

To add a new asset type, click the New Type icon

Type in the Asset Type Name

Select an Icon
-
Select a Colour
-
Click the Save button
-
Click the Close button
The defined asset type is displayed in the asset type drop-down list.
