Submit DVIRs at Roadside Inspection - Mobile App
Overview
The ELD Regulations have specific requirements in both the U.S. and Canada for what data gets submitted when ELD logs are submitted. This data does not include DVIR information, since DVIRs are managed under separate regulations.
When a safety official does not wish to view your logs on-screen, which does include the DVIRs, but instead requests that you send both ELD logs and your most recent DVIR to them, you much complete this as two separate tasks.
Getting Started
To get started, you will first need to login to the BigRoad ELD mobile application.
-
Login to the BigRoad ELD mobile app
-
Tap Logs
-
Tap View Logs
-
Chose the desired date
-
Tap Email/Print
You will see your DVIR located at the bottom. Make sure your DVIR is signed. Your daily log will be included with the email, so you may want to sign it as well.
If you haven’t signed your log you will be asked if you want to. You can do that now or send without signing.
-
Sign your Log
-
Or tap Send Without Signing
-
Tap Email Log
-
Enter the email address that the safety official provides you
-
Tap Send
Alternatively, you can offer to show your recent DVIRs to the safety official on-screen via the same ELD inspection mode you would use to show your logs on-screen by selecting ‘Inspect Logs’ on the Home screen.
Note: For information on how to submit your ELD Logs, see your ELD Driver Card or full ELD Information Packet/User Manual for your country of operation or locate the following documents on our website: USA ELD Driver Card & the Canadian ELD Driver Card.
