How to - Add User Roles
The Roles tab of the settings module in Unity enables you to grant and limit user access within the VisionAI Hub module.
The following roles enable you to manage the access and permissions for users within the VisionAI Hub module:
- Fleet Administrator: this role allows users to execute any change within the Rules and Settings tab within the VisionAI Hub module.
Note: An alert message will be displayed to confirm the change, and the selection will be applied to the different devices in the fleet.
- Vision Administrator: this role can be assigned to a user to access only the Assets and Drivers that belong to their group. This role will still be able to assign Duty Types to their Assets. A Vision Administrator can be assigned to multiple groups.
Note: Vision Administrator will not be able to perform any changes to Rules for the events.
- Vision Safety Manager: this role allows users to monitor the fleet’s safety by having access to the Insights, Trips, Recordings and Cameras tab.
Note: Vision Safety Manager will not have access to the Rules or Settings tab.
Follow the steps below to assign a Vision Role to a user:

Login to the Unity application

Once you log-in from the left-hand side main menu, select Settings

From the Settings menu select People, from the People menu select People list

From the People list, select the desired user name

Within the General section click the Roles field and select the Vision Role that you would like to apply to this user (Fleet Administrator, Vision Administrator, Vision Safety Manager, Vision Driver)

Click the Save button
