How to – Edit Upcoming Reminder of an Asset
When a new service plan is added or a new asset is added to an existing recurring service plan, the upcoming reminder target values must be adjusted to reflect reality of the next service cycle.
For example: a new service plan is created for “Oil Change” which is due every 3000 miles or every 3 months. One of the assets had its last oil change completed at the odometer reading of 57,000 mi on March 1st 2023, it is due at 60,000 mi or June 1st 2023 (whichever parameter comes first). The upcoming reminder target values of the asset must be adjusted to reflect this information.
This allows Fleet Managers to setup accurate new service plans and update new assets that are added to the plan that are in mid cycle for their maintenance items, and to track the maintenance history of all assets that are added to recurring service plans.**
When a new Service Plan is created, or a new asset is added to an existing service plan, the incomplete upcoming reminder must be adjusted to ensure the recurring cycle is accurate for the first maintenance service. For new service plans this must be completed for ALL selected assets in the plan.
