Working with Unity: Live Stream Feature
Overview
The Unity Web App Trips tab allows you to provide live coaching to drivers with a live view of the road and the driver.
Fleet Administrators will have access to 10 minutes of live streaming per device/per month with the VisionAI Hub Standard License.
Fleet Administrators will have access to 100 minutes of live streaming per device/per month with the VisionAI Hub Advance License.
We will show you how to initiate the Live Stream feature in Unity.
Getting Started
To get started, you will first need to login to the application.
- Login to the Unity application
- Once you log-in from the left-hand side main menu select VisionAI Hub
- From the Vision menu select Trips
Live Stream Availability
The strength of the network may impact live stream availability. Fleet Administrators can check the signal status before starting the live stream to ensure a stable connection.
The following three colour conventions are available for the signal icon: - Red: poor connectivity. - Orange: weak connectivity, live stream may lag. - Green: good connectivity.
Turn On Live Stream
As an Administrator, Vision Administrator or Safety Manager you can initiate the Live Stream feature for a Trip that is in progress.
Once Live Stream is ON, an alert will be displayed in cabin for the driver announcing that a live streaming session is in progress.
Follow the steps below to turn on the Live Stream feature:
- From the Trips screen, click the Show all trips dropdown filter and select In Progress
- From the list of Trips in Progress, click the play icon that is located beside the desired driver’s name
- Or click the green arrow displaying on the map area for the in progress trip
Note: Trips must be in progress to initiate the Live Stream feature.
The VT-230 devices will display the driver and road facing views based on the configuration within the settings tab. Below is an example of the VT-230 device.
