How to – Import Geofences
Importing Geofences is useful for adding a large number of geofences at once. The system supports the CSV file format for upload, with a maximum file size of 10mb.
Let’s take a closer look at how to Import Geofences.
From the Geofences tab of the Map Module, users with the corresponding permissions assigned to their role can import a geofence file.
Follow the steps below to import Geofences:
-
Log in to Unity
-
From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Map
-
Select the Geofences tab
-
From the Geofences tab, click the + button and select Import geofences
The Default radius allows you to specify the geographic size of the geofence and select a default colour of how the area will be represented on the map. This will be applied to all geofences in the upload file unless you specify a different radius within the file. We do not support colour picking for a single geofence within the file.
-
From the import geofences screen, set the Default radius and colour
-
Select a Default group
-
Click the Sample Template link to download a file that will assist with the formatting of the upload document
- The Sample Template will display how the upload file should look
It includes the following columns:
