Driver Assignments – BigRoad ELD
BigRoad ELD will send assignments and un-assignments to Unity, but will not pay attention to those that happen within the Assignment module or elsewhere in Unity, for compliance reasons. We cannot risk drivers being accidentally unassigned from their vehicle if they are actively using it.
Assignments will not be sent from BigRoad to Unity until the driver who selects the truck in BigRoad connects their app to the truck. This is to prevent assignments being sent when a driver is simply logging in from somewhere else to adjust or sign their logs for example.
Drivers will only be assigned to or unassigned from trucks in BigRoad from within the BigRoad application itself. This will potentially cause some inconsistency between what shows in BigRoad ELD and Unity regarding vehicle assignment.
Drivers can assign a truck from the BigRoad ELD mobile app Pick a Truck screen.
