How to – Set a Role as Default
The default Roles are the roles marked by users and appear with a Star icon. If a role is set as a Default, the system will automatically add this role when you create a new user account from the Settings People tab.
Follow the steps below to set a role as default:

Log in to Unity

From the Navigation Panel on the left-hand side, click the Settings module

Select the Roles tab from the top

From the All roles list locate the desired role name, click the three-dot menu at the end of the desired role row, and select Set as default

From the pop-up message click Set as default

Or from the top-right hand side click the Star icon; from the pop-up message click Set as default
Note: You can mark multiple Roles as default as necessary.
